He has leveraged his experience and extensive network to transform organizations and accelerate growth, both as a corporate executive and board member.
Olivencia is a Managing Director leading the Journey to Cloud Program for Accenture’s Health & Public Service customers. Prior to Accenture, Olivencia held various technology and business strategy leadership positions of increasing responsibility at Nippon Telegraph and Telephone (NTT), Ford Motor Company, Oracle, Verizon, and Softtek.
Olivencia is sought after speaker for his perspectives on business and technology issues and has presented in prominent forums including the U.S. Congress, National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD), NASDAQ Opening Bell, Great Minds in STEM, BusinessWeek, and Comcast Newsmakers.
From a board service perspective, David serves on the Advisory Board of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute (CHLI) with 10 members of the U.S. Congress and several Fortune 500 executives. Appointed by former Indiana Governor and U.S. Vice President Mike Pence, Olivencia serves the State of Indiana as a Commissioner for the Minority and Women’s Business Enterprises Division. Olivencia is a Co-founder and advisory board member of HITEC (Hispanic IT Executive Council) which has become one of the world’s strongest technology leadership organizations.
Olivencia has been recognized as 40 under 40 by Crain’s Detroit Business and Hispanic Business Magazine’s Most Influential Hispanics in America.
Olivencia earned his undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology (#1 Undergraduate Engineering Program by U.S. News and World Report
Additionally, Olivencia has completed the Harvard Business School Corporate Governance program and has completed his Certificate of Director Education from the NACD.
David is married and has three children and enjoys spending free time in family activities.
